No, it means you are human. I sat in the Vivian Beaumont Theatre 4 times and watched Victoria Clark and she is beyond amazing...a tear down her cheek at the same time in every performance...the way she carries the burden of her daughter on her shoulders and it just seems to pull her down...then this-the most amazing finale ever written for the Broadway stage...she casts off all the weight and just showers the theatre with this aria...to have been there and seen it and heard it...unspeakable joy.

I LOVED this show. I only regret not getting to see it more than once.

When I saw this on Broadway, Victoria Clark had tears streaming down her face by the end of this song. You could just feel the emotion pouring from her voice. She is an absolutely phenomenal actress.

We are so fortunate to have Victoria Clark's perfect performance preserved so beautifully in this video. I count this as one of the top 5 performances I've ever seen. (And that's pretty damn good company!)

to wickedkdo94: i did an opera where there were LONG scenes of just dialogue...no singing. ppl assume that opera is just continuous singing and nothing more.

citrusbust is correct. opera singers do not use mics. it's due to the acoustics of the theater that they can be heard. i have seen operas, know opera singers and I'm studying to be one. I know what I'm talking about!RARELY mics are used. for example: Audra McDonald and Patti LuPone in the LA Opera production of "The Rise and Fall of the City Mahogany".Do some research next time, Kthxbai.
