From the film quality, this looks like it was before the civil rights movement. Unfortunately, calling black people negroes and assuming they lived in harlem was sort of par for the course. Especially considering she was already pretty old.I doubt anything she is saying is untrue. You have to consider that these days most drug users are better educated about drugs. H is a lot less popular now because of that, thank god. All drugs, even marijuana, are dangerous. Just be careful.

A big myth that was perpetuated "back in the day" was that pot led to heroin. It was perpetuated by Gov't Propaganda in the 1930s when they were first trying to criminalize it. The History Channel documentary "Hooked..." talks about it at length. Check it out when you get the chance.

Yep, another trait showed in the movie is when the character, Gerri Blank, hits a joint once and trips out and starts throwing shit and breaking shit. Resulting in her being kicked out of the party after five minutes. The show was pretty spot on in portraying this living piece of hilarious, ridiculous shit.
