Hey hotforwords just did a video on the origin of Caeser salad to help clear up any misconceptions. Info on the Aviator salad too and how anchovies got in the Caeser salad.

legend is caesar cardini, owner of the caesar's cafe in 1924, but others say it was his head chef, santini who did the actual mixing on a busy july 4 weekend when they ran out of food. we are going to post a video soon with 2 versions: "antigua" y "nuevo" (popular since the 1990s)

actually, the TRUE recipe has NO mustard (original salad created by Caesar Cardini's chef, Santini in 1924). |
