anybody seriously comparing john butler to jimi hendrix has some problems on their hands. The two guys are in completely different genres. both were amazing guitarists. get over yourselves and welcome the music. geesh.

Huh, interesting way to put it I suppose, though I believe you are, as many people have said, trying to compare two entirely different things. As well, I'd have John Butler has a "oneness" with his music. You can clearly feel and see the emotion in this song. I would call that "oneness" with your music. Also, he plays it differently almost every time he plays it showing that he can portray a wide variety of emotion in it. Regardless though, you are trying to compare the uncomparable

If Jimi was alive today, he would get his ass handed to him by Steve Vai, Jimi was great, time to embrace the new

He plays folk on a 12 string acoustic in open tuning!Jimi played classic rock on a strat! Its like comparing John Bonham and Russel Watson!

what gives anyone on here the right to compare anyone to this guy??? john butler is a great guitarist who in this video displayed one the greatest instrumentals I've ever seen. sure, there are probably better guitarists out there, but criticizing and making comparisons are not what this video was intended for. This is good music so just enjoy it... |
