But they don't have the same weight/power, that's why the Z06 beats the R8 by a lot, and it's cheaper, and gets better mpg.The R8 is magnificent, but if Motor Trend thinks says it's so much better handling but looses to the Z06 by that much at the Nurb, then they're on crack.

that a 427, duhhh corvette haters is in reality a big ass big block just derived form a small block basedset up but cubic inches are cubic inches and 427 is 427 big block numbers ahhh yea i remebr the days when big blocks were outlawed from nascar as theywere tooo fast hence the z06's top end power and pull basically its identical to a all aluminum big block but better with fuel injection and better flowing heads and alot lighter than the old big blocks

that wasnt my opinion, the R8 won the handling comparo in Motortrend, so it has to handle better than the Z06. but yes the Z06 beats R8 at the Nurburgring. but also the Z06 has 85 more HP and 400lb less. Give both car the same power/same wieght, i bet the R8 will outlap the Z06 as well as the viper ACR.

Definitely handles better?Just look at the Nurburgring track times.C6 Z06 does 7:42Audi R8 does 8:03Nothing get twistier than that track.

Yes R8 handles better, but costs a lot more ! The Z06 ran the Ring in 7"42/43 with a standing start, so it handles very good because the Ring is 60 % corners and this is a very good time !Sorry for my bad english...

The Z06 is great in the turns..and is a lot less then the R8. How come anytime an American car beats a foreign car..everyone says "let see it in the twistys" So lame..it was a drag race. HOW many people actually race around on curvy public roads? If you do then you are an idiot. Last I check..the ZR1 and Viper both have the records at the nurburgring and cost tons less.

the Z06 isnt a terrible handling car, but the R8 definetely handles better. R8 is the best handling car according to Motortrend. the best handling american car was the Viper ACR and finihsed 7th place in MT's handling comparo.
