I thought it would be interesting to show those of you who are following the REAL D blog ( http://community.reald.com/blo... ) what the REAL D headquarters and theater look like. We developed the theatrical version of the ZScreen, the basis for the modern stereoscopic cinema, in the Clarity Theater and projection room you are about to see on the screen. I hope you enjoy this little video. If you like it, let us know and we'll do more. For more info, visit http://www.reald.com

I saw Harry Potter in IMAX 3D (great), Beowulf in Real D (great), and Journey to the Center of the Earth in Dolby 3D. The Dolby, to my eyes, was dim, murky, the colors shifted a bit here and there, and the magenta-hued left visor softened the focus too much. The next day, my eyes were strained. Yet I have read many others who say they had a great experience with the Dolby. Would be interested in your comparisons.

I saw the Hannah Montana Concert in Real D and it was AMAZING! Literally, I thought I could touch her hair. The digital picture was crystal clear, and the 3D was extraordinary. Next, I want to see Journey to the Center of the Earth. I don't care if the movie is crap, I'm going for the 3D!!!

Actually, Showcase does use Real D in some locations. It's just Cineworld, ODEON and some of the big chains that officialy annouced Real D in some sites.

I thought Showcase didn't use Real-D & Cineworld did.

You can't and won't find any Real D images or movies online because your monitor doesn't not have the capability of projecting the polarized images that the glasses can view. The device in front of the projecter is what causes the image to project polarized onto the screen seperating the left and right image causing the 3D effect.

oh a good trick is to save your glasses. so next time you go to watch a 3d movie . all ya do is pay for some other film or movie for 8 bucks instead of 12 or 13...savings of 5 bucks, witch you can use to buy candy and a bottle of pop at the greocery store..thats enough to share with your date, freinds or the girl in the next seat. aquick look in the trash for glasses can save you more..

And IMAX 3D because they're both really close in quality. But more on Real D because of the use of digital projectors. IMAX 3D requires two projectors and film
