Of course the .25 mile is weak... its a turbocharged Viper. You want quick sprint times, you need a to reduce weight and go with a normally-aspirated engine.The limiting factor here isn't raw power, it is the delivery of that power and the traction.Using turbos shoots your power-delivery curve to hell and creates traction problems. Do you see the way that thing was squirming on takeoff? It was barely controllable.

1700 hp = a power to weight ratio of under 2 lbs/hp. That's less than a supercharged Ariel Atom, and those are so quick the limiting factor in 0-60 times is the driver's shifting ability (ie. in the mid 2.5 second range). So yeah, 1700hp = bs.

I wrote "Not the say japanese cars are better than domestics (I love the Viper)". Read better, and japanese cars CAN beat the shit out of muscle cars. That doesn't mean all JDM cars can, but go to a drag strip in Puerto Rico and you will find one thing: tons of little 70s to 80s RWD japanese cars with small rotary engines posting 7s and 8s all day long.

I mean the number sounds slow dude. I get it doesn't rev to 8000 RPM because of the huge displacement. My point was the quarter mile time is weak, and there's no way that's a 1700hp viper. Plus the EVO has AWD which shaves off tons of time at launch.
