That is and artist's conception of the homunculus theory of mind.Unfortunately, I don't know the name of that specific image and all the ones I can find online are maps of the nervous system.

This is driving me crazy. At 2:04 can anyone tell me what the name of that image is, or what I have to type into google to find it? I'm fascinated by it.Anyway, great stuff from Terence as usual!

We all operate according to myth. Your choice of the four letter word suggests that you have reactionary feelings toward certain ideas. I'm guessing that you've had some unpleasant associations with Christianity. I did too. That changed when I started looking at Jesus more as a 'Shaman' than as the 'Cross-bearer". Then I could see the wisdom of his teachings. Our world needs more love. Start by loving the Universe; believe the Universe loves you back, then love others as yourself. :-)

why do you operate in accordance to myth? fuck.

I agree with your first remark; however, the idea of living in accordance to a false, segregated, and outdated belief system is preposterous, which is what Terence Mckenna is trying to explain. Humans need to embrace a logical sanctity and embrace non-conventional projections of our race, and in that sense our potential is unlimited. We have the capacity to decide our fate, but we are disillusioned by ancient superstition.

Our capitalistic culture, based on fear and greed, is doomed. However, there is hope. When enough people start actually living according to the teachings that Jesus outlined for us 2,000 years ago, sans Christian overload, things will change. Basically, we need to Love God, and love others as ourselves. We need to pray and take time for silent listening. We need to be more grateful for what we have, and worry less about what we don't have. We need to be happy with our place in the cosmos.

"the shamen are the techs" (says McKenna)actually "we" are the techs."we" needn't an intermediary between ourselves in an expanded awareness. but this is what we've been indoctrinated to believe.shamen, guru, saviour, President....don't leave your enlightenment in others' hands. they may have a plan for you.be your own architect. everything else McKenna said I agree with....(funny, the video is so dated by the computer jargon...)
