no because the smaller bullet would have less mass to push through the glass and would break up faster before it could reach the eye. it should have been tried with .30-06 steel core or armor piercing rounds the first time because they did the second time it worked.

That would never have happened, he shot the German sniper through the scope, they tried that on Mythbusters and the bullet didnt make it through.
