Stuart Copeland is the Drummer. He is originally from California and moved to England when he was twenty to start a band. He and Sting were both into Reggae and progressive rock. Andy Sumner was the guitarist for Eric Burden and the Animals prior to joining the police. His experimentaton using minimalist texturing and progressive sound shaping with the guitar combined with Sting and Stuart's reggae rhythm's created the bands unique musical personality.
