As quoted by AKC Standards "Spots are round and well-defined, the more distinct the better. They vary from the size of a dime to the size of a half-dollar. They are pleasingly and evenly distributed. The less the spots intermingle the better. Spots are usually smaller on the head, legs and tail than on the body. Ears are preferably spotted." Hahaha little do you know about dalmatians.

I agree! I know that dog he is a very good example of the breed. He was in the Top 20 at the Dalmatian Club of Amereica. He and all of the other Top 20 Dalmatians represent the breed very well! I think! Oh and THANK you for spelling DalmatiAn the correct way! Quick Lesson: the word 'DalmatiOn' is spelled incorrcetly! The correct way: 'DalmatiAn'!

yes, standard poodles are in the non-sporting group. However, they used to be in the sporting and were used for hunting bird game.

I forgot the url, but you can lookup the AKC site on Google and it shows what dogs are in which groups.

Are standard poodles seriously non sporting dogs? I've heard that they used to be used for hunting, and my poodle is also really good at catching ducks and other birds. |
