Oh, thanks for clarifying. See, I'm going through everything in consecutive order and I am in the original FF7 now, after Crisis Core. I didn't understand that Cloud never was really a Soldier, he just thinks he was. Wow.

After the two escaped from their captivity, Zack found clothes for Cloud to wear. It was a SOLDIER 1st Set. He dressed him actually before they left Nibelheim. When Zack died he told Cloud to take his sword, honor, and dreams. Due to Mako Poisoning, his own guilt, and other factors he believed he was actually a SOLDIER First. It wasn't till later in VII he realized that he was just a mere grunt.

Ok, if it was Shinra, then how did Cloud become Soldier after that? I don't get it. They wanted to kill them because they escaped the lab that did experiments on them (Crisis Core) and killed Zack because he was protecting Cloud (who was only an infantryman). So, how did Cloud become 1st class Soldier when Shinra wanted to kill him? I'm confused. Did they not know he was the escapee later?

this is actually a few years befor Final Fantasy 7 and this is the very end of Final Fantsdy Crisis Core.So if u want the end get Final Fantasy 7 for Playstation
