I thought that i was too, but i always enjoy trying to figure it out. Some things are easier than you think with Linux. It all depends on what you're gonna do with it. Just browser the web, talk to friends, do schoolwork and little gaming, it really isn't too hard. Give it a try with live cd.

Yes, I know one can have both on the HDD.Altho, never heard of running an OS thru the CD, heh.Thanks for the tips, nonetheless.

Its not hard to switch. When you install linux, it actually helps you partition so that you can keep both windows and linux. Another option is you could download the "live" version from the website and burn it onto a CD. Pop the CD into your computer and restart. Then you can use linux without installing it on your hardrive.

Well, now, the job is to find the Intel drivers for your video card.. That's not easy (got a laptop with intel integrated graphics..)

he's on Linux dude, hypercam2 doesn't exist !But just use recordmydesktop. Very great, smooth video ! There's a gtk version of this I think (for the graphical interface)Great job indeed !
