yea i meant to say im in an instrumental group with idm influences, i will look into the vengence samples, i've just been sampling random drums that i think would sound good and i've been modifying them, but i was never exactly proud of the beats i was making... thanks

get the vengence sample pack its got dirty bd samples etc. otherway is to process your sounds, mangle them, turn down the sample rates then put them through effects unit like a phaser and all other goodness. If you are doing idm you should know this already.....

i'm a=in an idm group and as far as the instrumental part goes we've got it down but im so lost on beats. i want industrial, raw, and electronic beats like boards of canada, autecture, tycho, etc. but all i have is an MPC that i'm kind of lost on as well....how do electronic groups like this make their beats?
