AmFearLiathMor - Just because you beat an F22 in your Harrier on "Over G fighter" for Xbox360 does not mean the Harrier is better than the F22 in REAL life. Your posts are so full of shit my toilet is backing up from over here....The Millennium Falcon could smoke both those pieces of shit. And dont even bring the X-Wing into this... Sincerely, 1 of Lemoore's F18 Fighter Pilot Instructor

so can it really go mach+ in a vertical climb???
mexicandreamer661 (October 10, 2008 at 6:40 pm)
um dude it is the vectoring that gives the raptor the super high manouverability it has, no other fighter can do such tight turns or pull those moves...without it, it would actually stall at some points. the f-15 was actually tested with the thrust vectoring and thats where the f-22 came about. it just makes a fighter that much better

'You can't target missiles by eye, And any fighter pilot will tell you that in close combat missiles are useless'Yes you can. Thats why ASRAAM is a lock on after launch missile. The ASRAAM missile has a targeting mode which is queued up optically from the Eurofighters IR/optical system built within the pilots helmet.RADAR head seekers are the missiles which have a much lower probability of success because of the active RADAR decoys employed such as the DASS system built into the Typhoon.

-"Nossel vecoring jets was found NOT effective in combat during early 90s"Now where in the hell did you hear that??
SgtDrDeath (October 9, 2008 at 11:52 pm)
Nossel vecoring jets was found NOT effective in combat during early 90s and still US is producing it of F22. Very stange, must be for air show purpouse or just another way of wastin US tax money

You can't target missiles by eye, And any fighter pilot will tell you that in close combat missiles are useless. And for dog fighting you want the Vulcan because of the rounds higher velocity.

00mace, feel free to do what you want, but I can tell you right now that arguing/debating with AmFear is completely and utterly pointless.

'Vulcan is enough to tear a harrier in half.'Theres no doubt about that, but 30 mm Aden cannon shells were designed to rip apart Tiger Tanks. ASRAAM is rated to 50G and has very powerful IR counter-counter measures. AIM9 sidewinders are now outdated compared to ASRAAM, although AIM9X will improve the situation for the F22, but even the AIM9X has limited range compared to ASRAAM. F22 is a much bigger optical and IR target than the Harrier and is less maneuverable with less capable IR missiles |
