Ehoa dead on, but it was the most manuverable plane in their force, it would out fly anything the germans could throw at it Man what I'd give to get in the cocpit of one of those

Man the sound of that plane gives me goosebumps every time. The Spitfire wsn't about performance or firepower or anything that tangible, it was the plane that symbolised Britain standing alone against Hitler's Germany.

1 version of spit , supermarine had 2 blades i think it ended up with 5 or 6 blades, blades has nothing to do with strokes, the spit was bulid in over 30 diff. versions most of them saw action.
