That's the Cropper Classic, his signature guitar that he developed together with Peavey, which builds and markets them. The pickups are specially intoned to Steve's specifications and they come in this goldish color, blue, black, and Green Onions green. Far less expensive than a Tele (on which they're based) but a nice sounding guitar.

I witnessed Steve's spectacular axe playing from five feet away last night at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. Talk about being in Heaven! And is that Booker T in the baseball cap on the organ?

Yes and very generous - he liked gigging with the Animals and said it was worth his while coming over just to gig with Mickey Gallagher, the Animals keyboard player. Have to say, though, he was wearing the same shirt for us, but what the heck - he's a master craftsman who can do no wrong for me!
