What is the size of that ring tool you are using? I'm going to get one myself and that size seems pefect. Great video by the way.

Awesome video. I just had my first experience with a lathe and was attempting to make a Goblet. Watching this made me fell the extreme novice sure took me longer then five minutes Ha. I was curious what tools you used there. I could not make them out very well it looked like the ringtool you mentioned and a Skew, is that all? I was also surprised how much wood you took off with one pass, if I try going that deep tool will grab.

Very cool! Have you tried doing one with a captive ring on it too? That would look really cool too.

No need to sand if you do it correctly and your tools are sharp enough. But if for some reason there is need to sand, then its to trash and new piece of wood :)
