Hm...His English accent t'aint bad. Sounds a bit like someone from the Royal Shakespeare Company (who's trying to cover up whichever industrial- hellhole brogue they used to speak with). Bit non-descript though.

There are many many different accents in England. I live in North London, and I only have to travel a short distance to hear changes and that's solely within the south of the country.The only two English accents you generally hear on

Classic. That's *if* that was all intentional, of course. Using an adjective as a noun gains my respect alone, I had no idea people outside Britain ever did that.

Our TV's pretty crap, so I wouldn't worry about it. Sure we can make some good shows, and have a decent legacy of classic comedies, but most of the daily schedule's comprised of bland rubbish and American shows.

why does he think every english person is posh hugh laurie only has a posh accent because he is from oxford.I have 3 friends from oxford and they speak like him, i have friends from were i live and they have brummy (birmingham) accents

i have never met any one in my life thats speaks like james liptons english accent and i am from englandi do know people who talk like hugh laurie because they are from oxford

i think the 'daft brit twits' dont get the point simply because they are british. the idiosyncracies of american critics escape them.i love how every video with both sides of the atlantic represented turns into a jingoistic argument. |
