tracing ones roots is great, the only thing is that where ever you come from you will have at least 2 races in your past, if you are lucky, mexicans have Mayan, Aztec, Toltec, Black and Spaniards...so, are you really only Mexican, latino, white? A true mexican is somebody whose traces their roots to mexico. Not spain. Its like saying blacks in America came from Africa just because some of them did, when actually most slaves came from France/Britian. Just because somebody is Mexican doesn't mean there ancestors were from Spain. Those are true Mexicans. Also "Spain" spanish and "Mexico" spanish are somewhat different, as are Spaniards and Mexicans

mexicans originate from mexico, latinos point there ancestry to spain (spanish), there is a difference. A true mexican isn't a Latino.

Being labeled as latino or hispano is just a way for Americans to put everyone in one same category. We are first Mexicans, or Argentinians, or Brasilias. - then we are latinos or hispanic.
