I think it's kind of useless to compare versions of a song sometimes because it can take away from the experience. How do you know that there was no effort put into this? I don't think Nico meant to make this a huge hit, that she was just singing to sing a song she liked and that's pretty nice to listen to.

jackson browne actually played guitar on this version. all nico did was contribute her weird ass voice

Jackson Browne wrote the song... cut the guy some slack...

so i listened to the "supposibly" better version by jackson browne and all i can say is...wow, how can anyone claim that is better than the original; its so generic and uninspiring compared to nico's version - which is unique and out there.

I think that people who are judging this song only by the voice of Nico, cannot really touch what this song's is, Damn She sing with passion, doesn'T matter if she's good it is his horrible voice who make the song's better, Fuck all the other cover's the original is always better

Listen up everyone. If this was music you had invested your time in making you would want compliments pure and simple instead of all this firing back and forth about "stupid strings" and mentally handicapped vocals. Why would you say such a thing? Listen to the tone, ahhhh.....delightful. Check out the punctuation 3:03, and the beautiful outro. Why not listen to Frozen Warnings now.

im sorry but when she sings "theeeeessee daaaaaays" it sounds like shes mentally handicapped.jackson browne version is better.

It wasn't meant to be perfect and if you can't tell that by listening then you obviously don't have a good musical ear. Plain and simple, it is beautiful... |
