She did the japanese and the skating community proud. She is such a beautiful performer and I can't help but stare with my mouth open coz her jumps are absolutely perfect. She makes sure that its clean. She is not overly ambitious. Brava!!

Shizuka was the best skater at this competition even if everybody skated their absolute best.

She was really overhyped in the pre Olympic buzz around Slutskaya and Cohen, and Kwans withdrawal. Heck she was even overshadowed as far as the Japanese skaters, there was far more talk about Mao Asada, who would have been one of the gold favorites, being age ineligible after winning the gp final this season then aything.
