I'll always remember the tape of this song that my wife sent me when I was in the Middle East during Desert Storm. It became the unofficial song for my unit while we were there. I saw grown men and women tear up when listening to it. I don't think most people understand how homesick you can get, serving overseas in the military. I should know. I spent 20 years of my 26-year career overseas. One day it hit me that I really wanted to go home. It's wonderful.
