why do you look at him as not being a true jazz musician. i prefer to look at him as a musician. not the most skillful but then again it doesnt take skill to play good music. the most important thing about music is making it sound good

He's right. The song is good, but he way it's played is horrific. The tone quality is despicable, and while not all songs need to be fast none of his songs are challenging. His improvising sucks, and good improv is the mark of a true Jazz musician. Get any mediocre high school sax player, and he can play Kenny G music.
