You are right, the video does talk about the tagging of commercal products but if you watch the whole video it also advicates the tagging of the whole world. Yes this is a bill that wil pass, especially with the new administration going into office. I for one will not get a ta ecause I will not be one of the mindless sheep who line up. As a former employee of one of the first retailers to get this technology I have been trained on it and know it's capabilities. You wll not be tracking me.

I think Maine, Alaska and Idaho have pass laws against the real ID but the fed will twist there arms by not allowing there drivers licenses to be used for travel, bank accounts, ss, or entering federal property and eventualy they will give in.

I don't think anyone understands yet. The commercials just started and no one reads anymore so they only know what they see on the tv. When it starts you wont be able to fly, collect social security or enter federal property without one. But many wont fight it until its to late. They wont get angry because the media scares them into thinking its for there security. Funny part is once excepted the government will find a way to run our lives through a card. Papers please.

you can find lots about it on youtube but you have to read to get to the real info. Pretty easy though. just google it and thousands of blogs etc. will come up. Not such a worry now but once the real Id act (hr1268) is completed the real worry comes because then people have access to something about you that you can't just choose to discard. My state mandates real ID in June of 09

Its in our credit cards, toll cards, new IDs, new passports, (some Keys), pets, cell phones and cars to keep track of kids, garage door openers etc, etc.......its already here, how long before you think they will push forward. Why wouldn't they let mythbusters do the episode showing how easy it is to hack? Why isn't it told to consumers when its placed in something they buy or why not a disclaimer on credit cards? just like GM food. they know, when we know, its over.

Seriously? Are you all religious nutjobs or what? Did you even watch the video or are you just seeing the word RFID and crapping your pants? The whole thing is talking about tagging COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS with radio-scannable tags instead of laser-scannable tags (like the barcodes of today) so that inventory control can be done in seconds, all at a time, instead of individually scanning each item. There was nothing in there about that fanatical mark-of-the-beast religious hoopla. OMFG.
