That guy just read some things about some of Jacos comments towards the end of his life where he tried to incite people. Jaco was mentally ill and used to say all kinds of wacky shit just to get a rise out of people. He'd say, I'm a nigger,jew,spic,cracker all rolled into one and things like that. Ask the musicians who worked with him (of color) Hancock,Kenwood, etc, if he was a racist and they'd tell you NO he was mentally ill (at the end) P.C. people don't get the point sometimes.

I know that...I wasn't trying to be an asshole...I was genuinely curious to hear your reasoning as to why he was a racist. And I wasn't attacking you, really, and I apologize if I came across that way (or if you perceived me to be attacking you)...I'm not sure if the bouncer was black or white, although I know he didn't have to KILL him, he went way overboard...

Jaco played with black musicians all the time, and I've never heard of any of them complaining of racism. Miles Davis could be kind of racist though - - just read his autobiography for examples - - although that doesn't make him any less of an amazing musician!

Are you sure about that? Could you give me some examples? I'm genuinely curious, too, not just being an asshole. I've never heard that, but if you can give me an example, some sort of source, I'd be glad to check up on it. (By the way, Wynton Marsalis is sort of a racist, doesn't make him any less amazing, just sayin')
