I think it's actually quite simple. In the absence of any credible arguments against Barack Obama, they resort to name calling, even if they don't really understand the nature or definition of the name or word they use. Like Fascist, Socialist or Elitist. Which by the way, Fascist and Elitist actually fit the right wing theology much closer than it does the left. Were as socialist fits into both, just look at the bailout we the people will have to pay.

Sorry to make a not-entirely-relevant comment here, but: why do people keep trying to call Sen. Obama a 'socialist?' I think Mr. Obama isn't liberal enough for my tastes, and I consider myself only slightly left of center when it comes to most political issues.Anyone else wonder that?

you can tell that its true just look at how the media treated Ron Paul while he was a candidate. if your not supporting the evil overlords then they wont support you, all the media personel who know about this and dont speak up should be beaten with metal poles and thrown in jail while unconcious so they wake up with big bubba plowing their ass lol

Just the fact that all of the major media networks took up the title, "Operation Iraqi Freedom", as it was released from the pentagon without a single shred of scrutiny, analysis, or questioning says it all. Why look further for proof? The media remains compliant, dancing under the control of and never deviating from their Master's strings.
