If the Yaw was known (such as the MotionPlus Wii controll seems to give), could full 3D positioning be done with the existing bar? or would it still need the extra referance points?

cool , have u seen freetrack . same design but reversed. this would be cooling using a vr920 "see my videos for the vr920" and augmented reality for a sword.
