That is Pete Howard on Drums - A good solid Drummer, but doesn't have Toppers 'Feel' or 'Groove' - Topper is the man!! The Clash died the day he was sacked. Even Joe admitted (later) that it was a mistake, but its not for me to comment on what happened. They leave a very rich legacy. Probably the best band ever ;)

yeah, and Terry Chimes (aka Tory Crimes) came back for a while after that: he's, I think, in the Rock the Casbah vid and in the Shea Stadium gig

What's wrong? Who do you think played drums after Topper left? Terry Chimes was brought back after Topper left. See the notes on the first live album the Clash put out. Chimes didn't play at US fest. That was 6-9 months after that Fall Who tour. Topper never came back and Pete Howard was brought it. He played in whatever band was pulled together after Mick was sacked too.

What that's totally wrong. Terry Chimes left after their debut album . Then came Topper Headon , he was practically the drummer of The Clash .He wrote the music to many of their songs. He was kicked out of the band after the release of Combat Rock because he had a serious heroine addiction which affected his play.
