That's okay. I certainly can see why this video was listed as related to videos made by people believing in a flat earth, as it is those people this clip is about. Haven't had any flat-earthers commenting on this clip yet, but there were a couple of such comments on the previous video.

Wouldn't it be an idea to watch the clip before commenting? Or at least read the title? This is not a video that argues for a flat earth. It is a video that studies conspiracy theories, and uses the belief of flat-earthers as an illustrative example of that. Also, it is a follow up to another video of mine, where I show how you can get evidence for the Earth not being flat with simple optical equipment.

according to genesis 1:6 the earth is hollow. the expanse of the sky is between the waters. this implies, that the sky is contained under a hollow dome and bounded by water. see also isaiah 40:22 the sky has a canopy and a roof. /watch?v=s7uf40uX8bM . this world view can explain every stellar constellation, even better than the round earth picture.

Conspiracy mentality is not unique to fundamentalists. It holds the seeds for bloodshed, especially when believed by groups that hold no regard to a higher morality. Christian fundamentalists are probably guilty of less bloodshed than other groups of the past 100 years. Actually, recent history proves that a belief in man as the highest creature produces a mentality of justified genocide of one's opponents.

Thanks for the comment! I too think the "satanist are everywhere" panic is another interesting example of this kind of thinking. Such panics can even act as what I called a a 'pseudo-conspiracy' early in the video, in that a large people will act in a manner that looks coordinated, but without any sinister hidden communication. |
