Sheesh... You'd think that someone as smart as her wouldn't be so full of her appearance... I'd still be just as smitten with her even if she was horribly scarred is some accident...Unlike that Jackass running for president who abandoned his wife...OBAMA 08!

Natalie Portman is a vegan. She is so great and a very clever girl!

It directly has to do with what you said because if this has been her lifestyle for so long then it's highly unlikely she would still be eating pork.

Hmm hehe this is true...she is a celebrity, who knows.

I don't put a vegan's decision to wear/eat animal by products on ignorance. I'm sure np is well informed herself, which is why I am baffled as to why she continues to wear such garments. Like I said, It must be hard to turn down free designer clothes:p

It must be hard for her to be independent from silk dresses & wool coats/sweaters esp when they come free from designers.

It's definitely a tough issue and if you are vegan it sure as hell takes a lot more research, "work" and dedication than people assume. I think a lot of people support animals rights but just aren't informed or don't have the dedication to commit themselves to consume without resources from animals.
madmusic25 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Sure she could not wear silk or wool, but I think people have yet to find a way to become Completely independent of a product that was produced with any process being involved with resources from animals or having animals being treated poorly. I'm not saying that I support the mistreatment of animals at all.

How is it impossible to not wear silk or wool?! Why can't she wear cotton/chiffon/polyester/satin etc etc instead of going against the very thing she believes it. I'm fed up of the vegans that think its ok to wear wool and silk. If you want to do that then go the vegetarian aisle and claim it. |
