like i said nothing against mexicans.the reason i even mention them is because these so called awards on univision and telemundo are run by them it doesnt matter who hosts it whether Carlos Ponce or Julio Sabala!

nothing against mexicans by any means.someone who categorizes all our(both dominican and p. rican)music into one category(Mejor Artista "Tropical")and categorizes their own music by regions and genre in their country (mejor grupo norteno/sureno , cumbia/salsa/quebradita)should choose our awards.u cant have Olga and India in the same category let alone Kinito, Juan Luis, Elvis and Gilberto all going for 1 award.they dont have best male/female salsero/merenguero/artist/album its a biased system

there are plenty of ignorant statements being written on here over two very successful artists who we ALL admire or admired at one point! that being said Johnny over Elvis hands down, dont talk to me about record sales..."Will Smith sells more records than Nas so Smith is a better rapper!" if thats ur point please delete ur utube account! and as for the awards, i dont believe in any awards given to Dominican or Puerto Rican Artists by Mexicans who are biased towards radio play.
