Well, Bonisolli is fantastic. But does anyone seriously like this aria? What's the point of this piece of music? I mean, I often love Verdi. But this?

Where was he when I was going to see Corelli and del Monaco? In Europe, I guess. Is this a film only? He sang it so easily, and in the original key, I thought he might be lip-synching...was he? Either way, he was obviously a magnificent Manrico.

De perfecte Manrico, samen met Correlli. Geen ene huidige tenor die deze kwaliteit heeft. Mannelijk zingen mag niet meer voor de regiseurs.

Ankhsnammon and Operaaddict - I agree with you both! As Pacino said: "It's not a world of men."We are being feminized.

I just love this opera. When somebody gets bad news, they sing long minutes about how quickly they must go and do something..."No minute to waste! But in fact, I can remain for a while and sing some high C's..."That's what we love in this genre. :D
