People overrate him when they say he's like LeBron's sidekick or he's a top 10 player. He's not even close to that since there are so many evident flaws in his game that I stated. Lets compare him to T-Mac who you think is more overrated. T-Mac is a slightly better defender, a better ballhandler, more athletic, and has better range. No leadership capacity, but still better. Many people regard Melo to be as good or better than him which is wrong. You got any more names?

Camby's defense is overrated, but he is still a great helping defender on the weakside and he's a great rebounder. JR Smith was one of the NBA's best 6th men last season. Andre Miller gets the ball a lot more than Melo and look at how much he's gotten out of the 76er's unlike AI. On that note, AI gets a bit more turnovers than Melo but is much better at driving to the hoop through traffic while Melo just kind of stands in midrange territory.

as the 2nd best player in tat 2003 draft class. that's wt i call overrated players. u r right in saying that ppl may not rate zach or marbury, i admit i am wrong, but honestly, carmelo? most overrated? just to throw another name out there, t-mac? overrated?

he also rebounded quite well, certainly for a small forward. he was nearly on par with kenyon. anyways i realise im defending carmelo, a player i don't particularly care for but still enjoy watching. ur argument was he was the most overrated player in the nba. that's simply not true. when someone compares him to mj or kobe or duncan, and i don't think anyone will do any time soon, then will i call him the most overrated player in the nba. tell u wt, darko was rated by dumars (one would assume)..
