i heard so many versions of here comes the sun, nina's sun is still my favourite, mainly because i think she doesnt over-use the feeling of the song. the beatles are the beatles..but this is Nina Simone ^^

That's faulty logic. Just because something is first doesn't mean it's best. So "obviously" is the wrong word to use.

Well I would say everybody is entitled to their opinion about cover versions and whether they are better than the originals. It does help however if you omit starting phrases with such things as 'Obviously...'Personally I prefer the original and don't particularly like this though I like Nina Simone.

very good version. pls stop comparing who is better. it's not easy to compose songs. remix or new versions is an improvement from originals. both are good. enjoy difference flavours. i am sure none of u can sing or bring different flavor to originals. doest it matter who wrote it, who sang it, who remixed it or who hit the note? can u guys just alow music to take you into an abstract dimension. a state of peace, enjoyment, appreciation and estacy

Nina Simones voice is soft like cutting butter on a hot summer day. It's soothing. |
