Even if escalation of living cost is a world-wide problem, it still remains the government's responsibility to contain the cost. If anyone thinks this is a case of crutch mentality, let me remind you this is PAP's arguement in applying crutch mentality selectively in areas where they don't want to an active approach. Hence it is either crutch mentality or government must completely let go.

i support SDP for trying to address our woes. Why do we have to live in silence? Everything is changing without addressing the reason to us. Raising the minimum amount for CPF etc and not giving us the basic reason.

Of course you will not elaborate FURTHER. You cannot.How is increase in cost of living being a worldwide issue explains why CASE can protest and SDP cannot?By the way, it never crossed my mind that you represent Singaporeans, or anyone but yourself.

In my opinion, one was addressing the issue of rising cost. Another was making use of the issue to cause embarrasment. Not gonna elaborate further as you seem to disagree with the facts. Increase in cost of living is world wide issue. Not Singapore alone. By the way, kindly avoid using the word "Singaporean" in your text cos you don't representing me.

In my opinion, both are protesting against rising cost, although both expressed it differently according to the the spirit of their organization's role in the society.Does Singaporeans expect CASE to hold placards against the government (eg. multi-million dollar salaries, GST etc) and SDP to hold placards against merchants (eg. hoarding of goods etc)? All these are examples of increase in cost of living. I will wait for you to elaborate on how their actions differ.
