I simply have to agree, except for the last sentence.True that its some of us' opinion that Horowitz and Rachmaninoff presents the concerto better than Argerich, I do not really disagree that it is not "debatable", because after all, its an opinion, right?But I really think that this is not the best rendition in my opinion.

Best rendition of this concerto? That's a laughable idea. I'm sure some people would agree, but that's kind of sad, really.I haven't heard any pianist who can push the tension in these piano lines to a new brink better than Horowitz or Rachmaninov himself. Those are the best recordings, without a doubt. It's not even debatable.

Hmm, I personally do not like this version. It is extremely fast and misses out a lot of the melody and many parts that are meant for us to savor...but thats my opinion.
