I heard this song way before i was hooked on twilight and as soon i heard the piano i was in love with it. but i agree a lot of teenagers wouldn't apreciate the song without stephanie saying it was "what she imagines edwards song to bella would be". i bet half the girls that are in love with the song now didn't even know who billy joel was before they picked up twilight. sad but true...

I love Billy joel and twilight! but there are lots of other amazing books! try jane eyre...reading it now...its awesome. everyone is too stupid to be cultured

ok .. first of all we are not "the twilight generation" and second of all I loved billy joel and this song before twilight. and just to make sure my point gets through to you if you didnt know about billy joel or this song before you probably dont listen to very good music and youre parents obviously never shared the greatest music of the eighties to you.

uhhhh...im 14 and ive loved billy joel since i was 3 years oldand were not the "twilight generation", twilight sucks balls.were the Harry Potter generation and the Percy Jackson generation, and any number of books which are better than twilight

So now we're the "Twilight" generation? That's ridiculous to base our whole lives off of some stupid book series. That's like saying we're the "Harry Potter" generation. Which we are also, but don't say that we're only based on that.Adults read those novels and enjoy them just as much as kids. Think about it.I've never picked up a book nor seen the movie but I love Billy Joel (it seems like this song is in the movie or something?)... but anyways, he was great without Twilight, and he still is
