I'll take Bare's and Young's and even Cash's near-death version over Ian Tyson's.I'll bet MIKE Tyson could do a better version than Ian's.

I love this! Bobby Bare in my book is the best of the best!

I enjoyed it, and I mean no disrespect by this, but it's very difficult to imagine a better version than the one performed by the song's composer, Ian Tyson (with his ex wife Sylvia). That really effects you. If you listen to no other version I suggest you listen to that one.

Hey, I'm a huge fan Ian Tyson, but I do enjoyBobby Bare's version better. I'm not sure I understand your comments regarding Kris, He is a room with some the greats but Kris is in my opinion one of the greatest outlaw poets who's song's were song by alot of the greats. Chris |
