How Lexa Doig Keeps Michael Shanks in Line at Home

Video taken at Dragon*Con 2007 on the second day (Mega Panel 1), Saturday, Sept. 1st.Marcia, the panel moderator, has asked Lexa Doig how she keeps Michael Shanks, her husband, from getting an ego, but the way she phrased it made for an interesting response. :)And of course, at the end, trust Christopher Judge to lower the conversation yet another gutter level.Transcription below, as requested:Marcia: (speaking to Lexa about Michael) And how do you keep his feet on the ground? How do you keep him from getting "the big head".Michael stands up, motioning at the crowd as if to wave goodbye and says something like: "Thank you for coming."Lexa: I try *not* to keep him from getting the big head. (Transcriptionist's editorial comment...Lexa is a smart woman.)Michael: (to Lexa) I'm not sure I know what that means.Lexa: I'll tell you later (said in a very cute ghetto type voice). Um...all it takes, actually, is two or three poopy diapers and, uh, "Honey, can you go to the store? I forgot the milk. And it kind of takes care of itself. He's a good guy. Mostly. (I think that's what she says at the end, anyway.)Michael: When she's standing there when you have your son, and he has his first....You know I have two daughters, who are older, but my son, you know, I had no experience with that "unit" from this perspective. It usually goes down. When I was changing the diaper, and he's fountaining, on my shoulder and all the way down, and she's the first one who saw it and just started laughing, as opposed to saying, "Honey, look out!"----I knew I'd hit bottom.Lexa: It was cute. The fountain, and he's getting soaked...(she continues on in this vein, though I can't understand, because of the laughter, which is in direct response to Michael pantomiming beside her.)Christopher: You know, I read some fanfiction (the rest of the comment is drowned out by screaming fans, but Lexa kindly repeats the gist of it...)Lexa: Wait a mnute, you've read fanfiction that includes urine? Dude.Christopher: Oh...oh yeah.Michael: And a glass coffee table apparently.Marcia: I think it's time for another question.
