It's good to see there are people like yourself thinking outside the square. It may not be the perfect solution, but it IS a great idea.Well done.

you know, you can have 170 000 Terrawatthours for 18 billion worth of Solarpanels in the area as big as Algeria, ONLY 18 billion(and the world only needs 140 000 Terrwatthours currently).and how much do they spend on wars ? right, hundreds of billions.....

Yeah, your right its capitalism, expect for the enormous infrastructure that would be required, and the fact that you have to either force people to use such a system or convince them use it, and the fact that people have to have the money to pay for these new cars, and the fact that governments have to get money from somewhere, but after they dismantle capitalism to force government solutions on people they won't have anybody to tax.

an ok idea but that not that great becuase vehicle manufacturers could make there batteries just for the car. A fast recharging station is a better idea

This is a pretty stupid idea.Via magnetic induction and our already implemented power grid, we should be able to drive as we charge. The only reason we cant is because it cant be metered and therefore you cannot be charged for it.Capitalism ftw, am i right?

...oh yea...I'm driving along and the car in front of me has a corrosion mount problem and drops the battery on the road...damn

I thought of a battery exchange station for electrics nearly a decade ago.
cant7think7clearly (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
But will the idea be open source? If not, one group of companies will own the patent for these batteries to make sure no competition exists and consequently charge the consumer whatever they want to use the service.Make sure the design is open source or it would be like having your car's energy supply completely controlled by one group of companies... oh wait. Hehehe :)

Bravo my friend...I applaud your thinking...we need more people like you here on this planet...the technology is there...we just need to tap into it...and we need to do it quickly...no matter what anyone tells you, you are brilliant!!! Keep it up...
