In Australia our government is being overun by religous zealots. In itself a christian in parliament is not a problem - that is democracy at work. The problem arises when these elected members start voting in accordance to their religous beliefs and not in the interest of their constituancies. If they declared their religous affiliations when the campaigned then that would be a fair and honest vote. Problem is they wouldn't get elected it they did that. Church and state must be seperate.
