If I don't enjoy her singing it simply mean I DO NOT ENJOY IT. I could as well say that if you don't like the bands or type of music as me, your taste should be questioned. But this is not so.

'She was divine and if you cannot enjoy the blessings of her art, you have a very good reason to question your... perfect taste.'Did you want to say that if someone doesn't agree with you, it means she/he's incompetent or shallow ? Very interesting

Sublime artistry is the ability of the performer to transcend the earthly and take the audience, the listener into realms of the un-earthly, in my words to take them into the invisible world. Maria Callas possessed this ability........And please remember that recordings are but phantoms of reality....a truly creative experience for all concerned has to be based on being part of an actual performance, whether as performer or as a member of the audience.........all the rest is but a shadow.

Do you have any old Italian songs withthe great Italian Tenor Benaminio Gigli? I love to hear him sing CareSelve (by Handel)

Yes, Callas is a legendary singer, no doubt, for which she is to be honored.

Interpretazione meravigliosa. La tua voce è quella degli angeli, sei sempre la migliore e sempre la resterai. BRAVISSIMA MARIA

If you like Callas or not is completely irrelevant to us as it is to her. She was divine and if you cannot enjoy the blessings of her art, you have a very good reason to question your... perfect taste. |
