Few people actually get this song, but Wes certainly does.

A textbook example for all of us: Cool, yet hot; earthy, yet intellectual; and the BLUES is always present.

Insightful. My compliments.

Absolutely! The man was a legend and, yes, the playing and the smile say it all. Anyone who doesn't get it should just forget about music full-stop (and clearly you don't have to be a Wes freak - like I am - to get it!)

Word was that Wes Montgomery was one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. Could anyone doubt it after watching this performance? It's right there for everyone to hear in his playing and see in his smile. Wes is a wonderful reminder to me that making meaningful music has more to do with who you are as a human being than it does anything else. |
