nope. I practiced both Aikido(first) and kendo (second) and I can say with confidence that the stuff I learned in Aikido did not help one iota.

are kendo and aikido kenjutsu easily interchangeable (if you have studied the kenjutsu in aikido, could you compete in kendo competitions)?

Yes, you are right. Kyu is not very difficult to get itself for adults. 1st-Dan is not so difficult to get for Junior high school Kendo-Players.2nd-Dan is not so difficult to get for high school Kendo-Players.But 3rd-Dan, it really tough to pass.If you have 3rd-Dan, it will be really cool status. |
