I am "irreligous" if that is a word. Agnostic seems too defining for me to accept. I recently read the The Shack and found it well written, heart warming, and thought provoking. Whether you believe in God or Jesus or some other superior being this book may stimulate you to think deeper. The universe itself defies definition by mankind, so how can we deny the possibility of a superior entity that we may be a part of? And would not that God be good? The Shack has answers. Wonderful experience!

I have this book in my posession but havent read it yet-Im mindful that its being promoted by 700 club.Should I read it?I believe in God but Organised religion the world over just gives us Grief.Theocraciesscare me From Iran to To Saudi Arabia toThe USA.What they all have in common is a distrust for change.And a dismissal of Scientific Facts.And hatred for those different.

I just finished the book and was pretty disappointed. If it did something for people, that is great, but for me it was just a fictional story.

i believe God speaks through people to give a message but i'm realy dissapointed it isn't a true story, i realy wanted to believe it and they tried to pass it off as a true story. i guess in the end all we can really have is undying faith

the thing is, a lot of people don't come to God because most have an image of God as this Old man with a frown in his face. I LOVE God! I DO NOT think this is heresy!He will use anything He can to be known! Thanks to those of you who say.. oh yeah I am christian this is horrible! Oh my! But you don't do shucks to talk to other people about Him and the promises He's got!All I am saying is.. if it will bring you close to Him, if it will make you want to know more about Him! Then WELL DONE!

I LOVE this book ... after 60 years of searching and questioning, Wm Paul Young made the story all so simple and understandable!! This is probably the best book I have ever read!

Would someone please post quotes from the book which appear to be counter-scriptural and then post the scripture. Broad statements aren't at all acceptable in debates which accuse people of heresy. |
