When I was 4 years old. My father picked me up from school and bought me the movie. We sang this song all the time, he used it as a wake up call to wake me up before school or breakfast with cartoons on Saturday mornings.

Oh my gosh...almost twenty years ago, when I was two...was when I watched this last! I think I still have the tape somewhere! I'm amazed at how well I remember this!!! EVERY line and soundeffect has its own memorable riff about it. x3OHHH the memories!!! thank you so much for the post! It's SO great to watch how GREAT these cartoons were, and to trip down memory lane. :D ♥Seriously. I didn't get how FUNNY popeye and his sidecomments were until now! XD

I do love the old school cartoons, it just that I wish that they were not in the public domain wharehouses, where these timeless classics are left to have the films rot and have tons and TONS of film scratches.

I remember this from my early childhood. It's my favorite cartoon.

I wish I could have a stereo or HD quality of the "Sinbad the Sailor" song.
