under that logic blaze notre dame is better than usc because they beat stanford and you didn't. Look at ohio st its easy to look good when you don't play anybody, it was only fitting that when florida was playing lsu, usc was losing to stanford. There is only been 2 dynasties ucla with john wooden and the boston celtics under red auerbach thats it. How is it back to back national titles when nick saban was holding up that waterford crystal ball, but if you think its 2 in a row go for it

If the pac 10 is so good when was the last time a pac 10 team other than usc, went to a bcs bowl? or even finished like the top 5. nobody is doubting how good usc is but its easy to look good when you dont really play anybody. Chris rock always says don't brag about stuff you should do in the first place, usc should win the pac 10 every year shouldn't they? Les Miles i guess was right when he said that he would love to play usc but they have some really tough games and who wound up laughing last

No doubt Tenn was a stronger team at the end of the season and Cal fizzled. But the point is, this past season in particular, any team could win on any given Saturday. Look at Stanford. Does anyone really think Stanford is a better team than USC? But they took advantage of an opportunity and made it happen. My only point is, SEC fans tend to think their conference is soooo much tougher than the others, but there are plenty of examples that undermine that assumption.

Blazedog, Tennessee won the previous season against the Cal Bears so do not read too much into who beat who on what year and so on and so forth. Cal caught Tennessee at the perfect time. If you think back Tennessee lost 3 games early in the first half of the season. The Vols bounced back and beat 4, count em, 4 Bowl teams in the second part of the season. Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky and finally Wisconsin. Now I congratulate the Bears, but Cal caught the Vols at the right time.

They won BACK to BACK National Championships. You can pretend otherwise, but the record books, the sports writers and sports broadcasters say otherwise. LSU should be commended for winning 2 BCS titles, but a dynasty has SUSTAINED dominance. USC has finished #4 or better for 6 straight years, 11+ winning seasons for 6 consecutive years, conference champs for 6 straight years and played in BCS bowls for 6 straight. All UNPRECEDENTED! No disrespect, but LSU hasn't yet sustained dominance.

Although I am not a big fan of USC I do think they're the best NCAA dynasty to date.
