Anyone who tries to change another countries views or cultural traditions is interfering with a natural order for that country. As an American I'll be the first to say that yes we're hypocrites because we circumcise our baby boys, but it's the parent's choice.

they should leave that decision to a boy.he is not going to have sex before certain age,so there is no risk of getting HIV.male circumcision reduces sexual pleasure very much.

we don't circumcise every boy. The parents choose. And they look at the pros and cons of it most likely. For Fgm I've seen no pros. Yeah it's not right to force these types of things on anyone, but if cutting the boys prepuce off at birth lowers the chance of getting HIV by 60%, thats a benefit some parents just don't wanna pass up. Granted there are cons as well but the most common bad thing I've heard from circumcised guys is 'I could of been just that much bigger' and thats just guy banter =/

I'm against any genital mutilation. But we, as Americans do look hypocritical condeming Female GM when we allow Male GM here in our country. We would have a more consistant and credible voice if we would first outlaw all genital mutilation in our country.

This mini explanation goes out to all those who think female genital mutilation is to do with Islam:In islam, a married couple are meant to share pleasure with each other. if female circumcision was a part of islam, a husband and wife wouldnt be able to share pleasure with each other because female circumcision completely demolishes the nerves in the vagina. Female genital mutilation is purely a cultural practise, and is not to do with any religion. its as simple as that.xxxx
