I heard the H&O version years before the Paul Young cover, and to this day I still prefer the original. And now after watching this spectacular video several times in a row, I've come to the following conclusions:1. Daryl Hall can eat Paul Young for breakfast.2. Daryl is a god with the most 1980s of 1980s hairdos.3. I want that hairdo.

As a matter of fact, your boy Paul Young has sang MANY cover songs...Oh Girl (The Chi Lites 1972), What Becomes of the Broken Hearted (Jimmy Ruffin, 1966), Don't Dream It's Over (Crowded House, 1986), Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchell, 1969), Love of the Common People (Waylon Jennings, 1967), Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division, 1979), Wherever I Lay My Hat (Marvin Gaye, 1962), and so on...I love Paul Young as an artist but the point is he's made his career off of remakes including this one!!!

Yes, I shouldn't believe everything I read on the internet...Instead, I'll believe the 1980 CD I have of Hall & Oatesthat has this song on it and I'll also believe the 1980 concert that took place at the Tower Theater here in Philly when they sang this same song, five years prior to Paul Young!!!

Go to wikipedia and look it up...This is a Hall & Oates song written by Darryl Hall and the song was not released as a single, but it was on their 1980 album...They did not steal this song from Paul Young!!!

I have this on tape...Philly's own Hall & Oates...This was such a great show at the Apollo...Many people think that this was Paul Young's song, but it was on Hall & Oates 1980 album and was never made a into a single!!!
